How do you change your account's password?
I seem to have forgotten my password for this account. How do I change the password while the cookies still work?

I think there's a "forgot your password" option when you're logged out.

As long as you used a legit e-mail to make the account, you should be able to change it that way.

If you didn't give it an e-mail when you made the account, then I guess you'll need to contact the booru people.
Or maybe it'll have some option to recover it even if you didn't give it an e-mail.

There's a lot of nothing on how to change or recover booru passwords.

So after getting forcibly logged out of my own account when the cookies expired after a year, I found myself in a similar situation and the "forgot password" thing didn't work at all despite having given it an e-mail when I registered.

Chitib found the solution.
In firefox or chrome

-right click the site
-inspect elements
-go to the console tab
-At the bottom of the window there's a line you can type in, type:

document.cookie="pass_hash=yourpasswordhashhere; expires=Thu, 18 Dec 2014 12:00:00 GMT; path=/"; document.cookie="user_id=youruseridhere; expires=Thu, 18 Dec 2014 12:00:00 GMT; path=/";

With the appropriate info and dates replaced of course, and you can log in manually.

The instructions for how to retrieve this info from your cookies can be found
http://ibsearch.i-forge.net/mass-upload/howto-auth.html
though it's a little dated.
